ZANOTTA AND CALVI BRAMBILLA: DESIGN IN BALANCE AND MATERIALS
November 13, 2025

Nova Milanese, November 2025 - Zanotta presents three creations by Milan-based design studio Calvi Brambilla: two new designs debuting this year -the Ettaro carpet and the Nellee chair - alongside the Giuno small armchair, already part of the collection.
Together, these three pieces embody a unified design language in which balance, comfort and personality converge, expressing the essence of Zanotta’s distinctive style.

“Each Zanotta creation must possess something that, at first glance, might even feel unexpected, yet it always stems from in-depth design research aligned with the brand’s core values: heritage, craftsmanship, and a pioneering, radical spirit,” say Calvi Brambilla, Art Director of Zanotta
Ettaro, Nellee and Giuno concretely embody this philosophy, expressing a design that is both conscious and authentic.

Ettaro is a hand-knotted carpet composed of 90% wool and 10% cotton, featuring a 15 mm pile height and a weight of 3.5 kg/sqm. It is available in wax, hemp, algae, amaranth and blue, in both rectangular and round versions.
Its design unfolds through an evocative graphic rhythm: two pile heights create a subtle three-dimensional effect, lending the surface a tactile and visual depth reminiscent of a ploughed field.
With a measured yet distinctive presence, Nellee stands out for its balanced proportions and refined silhouette. Designed to harmonise effortlessly with tables of strong character, it blends comfort with formal rigour, embodying Calvi Brambilla’s vision of a convivial and elegantly composed living space.

The Giuno small armchair, introduced in 2024, shares with Nellee and Ettaro the same pursuit of formal balance and meticulous attention to detail.
Its essential silhouette is softened by gentle volumes and harmonious proportions, creating a sense of effortless elegance.
Fully upholstered, Giuno is distinguished by its inviting seat and the subtle curve of its armrest, which follows the natural movement of the body, making it equally at home in living or dining settings.
Available in fixed or swivel versions, it seamlessly combines comfort and functionality while preserving the purity of its form.
