ZANOTTA: A SLEIGH FULL OF DESIGN ICONS

This Christmas, Zanotta’s icons continue to captivate with their remarkable contemporary appeal. Trailblazing designs that have become timeless classics, ideal as gifts for discerning design enthusiasts.

A true icon of Italian radical design, Sacco stands out for its versatility, appealing to both children and adults and blending effortlessly into any space.

Designed in 1968 by Piero Gatti, Cesare Paolini, and Franco Teodoro, it is a free-form seat that conforms to the body, transcending trends and generations without ever losing its identity.

Exclusively produced by Zanotta, Sacco is available in three sizes (54×59 cm, 68×63 cm, and 80×68 cm) and a variety of finishes: the new Tux upholstery, unveiled at Milan Design Week 2025, Vip, also suitable for outdoor use, and the elegant and refined leather version.

Sciangai is a folding and adjustable clothes stand, with a frame in natural, grey, talc, black or amaranth varnished ash.

Inspired by the famous Chinese board game, its design by De Pas, D’Urbino and Lomazzi combines simplicity and originality: wooden sticks that open thanks to a steel grommet.

Awarded the Compasso d’Oro in 1979, Sciangai is a refined furnishing accessory, perfect for making any entrance warm and festive.

In addition to the classic version, Zanotta presented the Sciangai 50, a numbered, multicoloured lacquered edition created to mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic clothes stand.

With its unconventional spirit, Mezzadro by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni reinterprets the stool by combining a chromium-plated steel stem, a lacquered seat (available in orange, red, yellow, white or black) and a footrest in steam-treated beech, natural colour.

A synthesis of three different worlds – agriculture, cycling and sailing – Mezzadro brings a sense of freedom into the home interior.

Albero by Achille Castiglioni is a rotating flowerpot stand with a painted steel frame available in talc, amaranth, grass green or black.

The pot holders support the plants like caring hands, while each element can rotate 120° to create your own domestic “vertical wood”.

Designed by Achille Castiglioni, Cumano is a simple and practical folding table with a steel frame and top painted in talc, amaranth, grass green or black, equipped with a sliding ABS joint and a hook for hanging on the wall.

Created from a desire to reinterpret a late 19th-century archetype of folding outdoor tables, the design refines every detail to enhance its functionality. Cumano is therefore a valuable companion, providing extra surface space just when the house comes alive for the holidays.
