ZANOTTA PRESENTS BINATA BY BROGLIATO TRAVERSO

Born from the first collaboration between Brogliato Traverso and Zanotta, Binata is a chair defined by a geometric language inspired by the architectural theme of paired columns. Its two parallel legs support the backrest, conceived as a horizontal band, giving the project a distinctly architectural and almost constructive character, from which the name is also derived.

The frame is made of solid oak, or mocha-varnished ash, or open-pore lacquered ash in amaranth and black. The seat and backrest are made of ash-veneered plywood in the same colours as the frame. The chair is also available with a padded seat in expanded polyurethane and fixed fabric or leather upholstery.

“Binata is a chair with a strong identity, characterised by clear, distinct geometric elements that give it character. A project born from the desire not to formally belong to a specific moment in history, and at the same time from the search for a compositional balance that makes it suitable for both residential and Ho.Re.Ca. settings. In short, an object with a versatile soul that fits well with our design approach.” Alberto Brogliato and Federico Traverso, Brogliato Traverso
